Colleagues Yasmeen Ghaith and Abeer Al-Khatib participated in the Comprehensive Journalism Training Course organized by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), held from February 1 to 5, 2026.The training brought together a number of journalists and content creators.
The course, delivered by a group of specialized trainers, provided participants with knowledge about news writing techniques and the skills required for practical journalistic work, with the aim of enhancing professional competencies and developing writing and editing tools.
Over the five-day program, the course included theoretical and practical applications on writing news stories, reports, and investigative pieces, as well as how to employ technology without compromising the quality of editorial content.
For the second consecutive year, “Digital Solutions” took part in this comprehensive journalism course through the participation of a group of colleagues from different departments, aiming to enhance the team’s capabilities in writing and editing.
Ghaith and Al-Khatib emphasized the importance of their participation in the course, noting that it helped refine their professional skills and broaden their perspectives in the field of journalism. They also highlighted the role of such training programs in supporting journalists and enabling them to keep pace with the rapid developments in the media landscape.
Head of the Program Planning Department at the Petra Training Center / Jordan News Agency, journalist Amal Al-Tamimi, said that the agency continuously seeks to organize specialized training programs in the journalistic field, noting that this training course has witnessed strong interest from professionals working in the journalism and media sector.
Al-Tamimi added that the “Comprehensive Journalism Course” is one of the programs regularly organized by the Petra Training Center, through which participants gain knowledge and experience from specialized lecturers both theoretically and practically in the journalistic and media fields. She expressed her wishes for the graduates to continue learning and acquiring new and advanced knowledge and expertise in journalism, as this will undoubtedly be reflected in the quality of writing and the development of professional experience.
